Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to support marine shipyard projects, including ship repair, maintenance, refit, and new construction activities. The successful candidate will coordinate project schedules, resources, documentation, and communication to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily project activities across engineering, production, QA/QC, safety, and procurement teams

  • Assist Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and tracking shipyard projects

  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, work orders, progress reports, and documentation

  • Monitor project milestones, deadlines, and resource allocation

  • Liaise with clients, class societies, subcontractors, and suppliers

  • Track materials, equipment, and manpower requirements

  • Support cost control by monitoring budgets, variations, and invoices

  • Ensure compliance with marine safety standards, shipyard procedures, and regulatory requirements

  • Organize project meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action items

  • Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections, and handover documentation

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

  • Minimum 2–5 years experience in a marine shipyard, ship repair, offshore, or marine construction environment

  • Strong understanding of shipyard operations, dry docking, repair, and maintenance processes

  • Familiarity with classification society requirements (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register, BV) is an advantage

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Project); knowledge of project management software is a plus

  • Good organizational, coordination, and time-management skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)

  • Knowledge of HSE standards in marine or industrial environments
