Electrical Department - Small Appliances

Responsibilities

• Manage Small appliances / Beauty Care Personal Care / Product Category to meet department sales & GP target, total income and vendor’s expectations.

• Achieving Financial KPIs of Sales and Total Income

• Product Category Management, Marketing and Strategy which includes Store-wide promotions, Marketing & Demand Generation Programs, Store Planogram and Inventory Management

• Monitor and manage warehouse and store inventory and follow through action plan to reduce inventory in order to meet weekly inventory holding target.

• Negotiating Trading Terms with suppliers for Market Competitiveness

• Prepare weekly ALA – involves discussion with supplier on models, pricing and checking of weekly advertisement drafts before signing off.

• Meeting with supplier on brand performance, and all other matters relating to SDA

• Meet and plan with suppliers on new model selection for SDA.

• Collaborate with Operations, Stores and cross functional departments

• Plan and execute in-store activities on SDA, including in-store demo, new product launch etc.

• Plan and work with store Managers on roadshow and offsite events.

• Planning of store-wide promotion mechanism to ensure smooth execution.

• Analyse Market trends, Industry movements and Competitors Strategy
  

Requirements & Skills

• Passionate to work in a dynamic, fast paced retail industry and able to perform under pressure.

• Team player, self-motivated, energetic personality

• Strong business acumen in Category management; Experience in product management or buying role from retailers, distributors or vendors would be a plus.

• Strong communication, analytical and multi-tasking skill.

• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office suite would be a plus.

• Diploma / Degree in Business / Marketing or an equivalent discipline
