Job Summary

Manage procurement processes to ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing and supplier performance for steel reinforcement materials, supporting production schedules and cost control initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, preparing RFQs, negotiating prices and terms, issuing purchase orders, and tracking supplier performance to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with SOPs, approval matrices, and documentation standards to maintain audit readiness.
• Coordinate with Operations and Production teams to plan material requirements and delivery schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
• Maintain and manage vendor relationships by resolving supply issues and updating the approved supplier list to ensure reliable sourcing.
• Support cost control initiatives by conducting periodic price benchmarking and analyzing procurement costs.
• Prepare and evaluate quotations to select suppliers that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Track delivery performance and coordinate Goods Receipt Note (GRN) and Delivery Order (DO) documentation flow to support inventory accuracy.
• Maintain an up-to-date supplier database and procurement records to provide a clear audit trail.
• Support supplier audits and assessments by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with relevant parties.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline.
• 5–8 years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or building materials sectors.
• Experience using ERP purchasing modules to manage procurement workflows.
• Strong negotiation skills demonstrated through successful supplier contract management.
• Detail-oriented approach to managing procurement documentation and supplier performance.
• Effective coordination skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Problem-solving skills applied to resolve procurement and supply chain challenges.
