Molex Singapore is seeking for a Process Outsource Engineer to support production process improvements for subcontractors outside Molex Singapore, ensuring quality, yield, and productivity enhancements. You will be responsible for the smooth release of new products to manufacturing, resolving process-related issues, and tracking assets.

Our Team

This role involves extensive collaboration with various internal departments, subcontractors, fabrication vendors, and machine vendors/suppliers.

What You Will Do

• Develop and continuously improve the sub-con quality system to meet agreed goals.
• Monitor project deadlines and budgetary expenditures.
• Collaborate with Sub-Con, Product Design, QA, and Components Engineers to ensure new product release for manufacturing, including full qualification.
• Implement productivity, quality, and cost reduction programs, as well as machine and process improvements.
• Address and resolve quality and process-related issues at sub-cons for assigned products.
• Provide production support to resolve sub-con quality/process problems.
• Manage product capacity expansion, including duplicating machines/fixtures if necessary.
• Qualify all tooling releases to manufacturing at sub-con.
• Maintain proper documentation control for process capability studies, process FMEA, SOPs, process specifications, OJT task analyses, training records, production records, and assets.
• Oversee equipment transfers from in-house to sub-con, ensuring machine setup and production qualification.
• Provide coaching and supervision for new engineers.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar position (for external candidates) or a minimum of 2 years in a Process Engineer position at Molex (for internal candidates).
• Proficient in process improvement.
• Knowledge of quality systems.
• Ability to identify and propose solutions for directional errors.
