Roles & Responsibility

· Conduct routine and scheduled inspections of buildings, machinery, equipment, and infrastructure

· Identify wear, damage, safety hazards, and non-compliance issues

· Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports

· Recommend corrective actions, repairs, or replacements

· Verify that maintenance and repair work meets quality and safety standards

Requirements

At least 5 years’ experience in bridge / building design / construction and/or structural inspection / maintenance works.

A Civil Engineering degree recognised by the Professional Engineer (PE) Board, Singapore

Sufficient knowledge in British Standards and Advise Notes, SS Euro-code Standards and the National Annexes, other prevailing codes, regulations, and Standards that set out the requirements guidance on the Inspection of Highway Structure and/or Standards and Advice Note from other countries;

Ability to recognise, evaluate and assess the condition of various structures, including structural defects / damages; and

Good knowledge of durability aspects, repair / rehabilitation methods for defective concrete and steel structures.
