We are looking for a highly experienced Principal Frontend Engineer who will take a leading role in shaping the next generation of our web and mobile interfaces. This position involves setting the direction for frontend architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and exceptional performance across multiple platforms.

You’ll be the go-to technical authority for frontend technologies, guiding engineering teams, defining coding standards, and helping to build a world-class user experience. Responsibilities

1. System Architecture & Design

• Develop scalable, modular frontend architectures across web and mobile products.
• Ensure performance, responsiveness, and consistent UI behavior across multiple browsers and devices.
• Drive the evolution of reusable design components and front-end frameworks.

2. Technical Direction & Standards

• Act as a subject-matter expert in frontend technologies, particularly React.js and React Native.
• Review and refine architectural decisions, code quality, and performance benchmarks.
• Define and enforce best practices for testing, CI/CD, and code deployment pipelines.

3. Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver well-integrated solutions.
• Mentor and coach frontend engineers through technical discussions, design reviews, and pair programming.
• Lead initiatives that improve frontend engineering efficiency and knowledge sharing.

4. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Explore and evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks to improve development workflows.
• Contribute to the development of internal design systems and component libraries.
• Establish strong foundations for accessibility, usability, and maintainability from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in frontend engineering for both web and mobile platforms.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript, React.js, React Native, and related frameworks (Next.js, Redux/Zustand, Expo).
• Skilled in architecting and optimizing large-scale frontend systems — including cross-platform integration, modular UI design, and performance optimization.
• Experience setting up frontend pipelines, CI/CD automation, design system governance, and performance monitoring frameworks.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to translate design intent into technical execution.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred to effectively collaborate with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
