Pre-registration pharmacists are required to undergo pre-registration training by the Singapore Pharmacy Council. As trainees, you will perform duties under the supervision of pharmacists.

You shall develop fundamental capabilities to become independent, self-motivated, and ethically-minded professionals with commitment and skills to advance the Pharmacy profession in a practice setting.

You will be exposed and develop the following skills or knowledge:

• The provision of pharmaceutical care by working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team to promote wellness, maintain current health, and/or manage acute or chronic illness, identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related problems;
• Recommend and monitor patient drug therapy and provide drug information;
• Interact with patients, patients’ caregivers and other health care providers, as appropriate to assure continuity of services and to achieve desired patient outcomes through safe, timely, and cost-effective drug therapy;
• Ensure accurate and timely distribution of pharmaceuticals;
• Provide education to patients and caregivers; and
• Support and participate in the SGH mission of providing quality patient care, education and research.     

Requirements

1. Pharmacy degree recognized by the Singapore Pharmacy Council
2. Eligible for registration with the Singapore Pharmacy Council for Pre-Registration training
