Job Description
Overview
We are looking for a Practice Trainee to join our team as part of their training contract. This role provides hands-on exposure to legal practice, allowing the trainee to develop practical skills under the guidance of qualified lawyers.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist lawyers in legal research, drafting, and case preparation
· Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence
· Support in due diligence exercises and document reviews
· Attend client meetings, court proceedings, and hearings (where applicable)
· Liaise with clients, external counsel, and relevant authorities when required
· Maintain proper documentation and filing of case materials
· Provide general administrative and operational support to the legal team
Learning and Development
· Gain exposure across different practice areas (e.g. corporate, litigation, conveyancing, etc.)
· Receive mentorship and guidance from assigned supervisors
· Develop legal drafting, analytical, and client management skills
Requirements
· Law graduate from a recognised university
· Eligible for admission to the Singapore Bar (if applicable)
· Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
· Good interpersonal and communication skills
· Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks
· Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
