Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate quotations for generator spare parts based on customer and distributor requests.

  • Process and track sales orders in SAP (or equivalent system) from order entry to delivery, ensuring timely fulfilment.

  • Serve as the main contact for distributor and customer enquiries on parts availability, pricing, delivery, and technical clarification.

  • Support identification of correct parts using manuals, BOMs, and technical documentation, including alternatives and superseded parts.

  • Coordinate with supply chain, logistics, service, and engineering teams to ensure order accuracy, technical validation, and on-time shipment.

  • Maintain pricing structures, discounts, and quotation consistency, and support updates in SAP or pricing systems.

  • Assist in commercial support activities, including cost, lead time, and availability inputs for negotiations.

  • Prepare parts lists for service projects, maintenance, repair, and retrofit activities.

  • Monitor order status, backlog, and fulfilment performance, and highlight risks such as delays or stock shortages.

  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, quotation conversion, and order fulfilment KPIs.

  • Support other aftermarket and parts sales activities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • 2–5 years of experience in parts sales, aftermarket support, or customer service (preferably in gensets, heavy equipment, or industrial engines).

  • Knowledge of generator systems (e.g. Kohler, MTU, Volvo, MHI) is an advantage.

  • Experience working with regional distributors preferred.

  • Good understanding of spare parts identification and technical documentation.

  • Proficient in SAP or ERP systems (order processing, pricing, inventory).

  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy in quotations and order handling.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

  • Customer-focused with proactive problem-solving mindset.

  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
