Job Description

You will support the implementation of Project Level-Up (PLU), which takes place on Saturdays, and look after children in an inclusive and caring environment. You will be assigned to work with children across various levels, and varied activity groups, depending on operational needs.


You use positive reinforcement techniques to manage children’s behaviours and the classroom and learning spaces. Together with the Programme Manager and other programme staff, you are responsible and accountable for the children’s safety and well-being at all times.


You are a good role model for the children and work under the direction of the Programmes Manager to impart good habits and social skills amongst our children.


Children & Behaviour Management

  • Establish clear expectations and rules for behaviour throughout the programme
  • Foster and maintain integrated and inclusive care environment in which children with varying abilities and needs (including hearing loss and mild to moderate SEN) play and learn together
  • Acknowledge appropriate behaviour and address children’s inappropriate behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies

Management of Classrooms & Learning Spaces and Scheduling of daily class activities

  • Ensure that the classrooms and learning spaces are kept neat and clean and returned to their original state after use
  • Create a safe, stimulating, positive, and supportive learning environment in the classrooms and learning spaces
  • Supervise and guide children during routine transitions
  • Plan and execute activities as required
  • Keep detailed track of children movement across the day
  • Implement center-wide routines, rules, and expectations

Programme Administration & Documentation

  • Oversee programs and support in the management of all program delivery logistics, including beneficiaries’ recruitment, enrollment, and exit of programs
  • Collate attendance and activity consent/registration responses, follow-up on non-responses
  • Keep track and follow-up closely on the minimum attendance requirements and absence documentation of children
  • Take and mark class attendance
  • Ensure that children sign in and out for arrival and dismissal

Education, Skills, and Competencies

  • Preferably with teaching qualification or at least 1 year of relevant student care or teaching experience in Singapore
  • Adaptability and flexibility: able to accept and implement routine changes and varying class/level/group/activity allocations, as directed by Programme Manager, as per operational needs
  • Displays initiative and is proactive and preemptive
  • Demonstrate a passion for working with children and promoting their overall well-being and development

Working hours

  • Saturdays
  • Between 7am to 4pm
