Main Responsibilities

Oversee Freight Operations (5)

• Manage, train and mentor a team of Freight Operations Supervisor and Executives.
• Ensure operational readiness and coverage as required.
• Develop and enforce SOPs.
• Serve as a primary operational point of contact for Internal Staff and key clients.
• Handle escalations and special requests.
• Co-ordinate with airlines, vendors and related stakeholders for rates negotiation and operational procurement.
• Ensure accurate completion and full compliance of shipping documents and customs declaration requirements.
• Handle queries from Singapore Customs on related customs declarations.
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements in handling and routing.
  

Ground Operations Team (20)

• Manage, train and mentor a team of Ground Operations staff, including Crew, Drivers and Fleet Controllers
• Oversee and manage day-to-day operations.
• Plan and schedule daily routes to ensure that the optimum number of vehicles are working at all times to meet customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with Security SOP, both internal and external.
• Respond to security incidents and lead investigations in cooperation with authorities.
• Ensure adequate staffing and shift scheduling, including night and weekend coverage as required.
• Ensure proper documentation and record keeping.
• Provide linkage between Freight and Ground Operations; and work closely with other related departments such as customer service, key accounts, finance and HR.
• Ensure the equipment and supplies are adequate.
• Ensure assets (fleet) and equipment are maintained and operationally ready for secured transportation.
• Monitor and improve SOPs related to Ground Handling of Valuable Cargo.
• Identify risks and implement preventive measures.
• Assisted by Chief and Vice Chief of Delivery Crew, Fleet Controllers and Security Executive.
