Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an Operations Lead to support the reliability, scalability, and day-to-day operations of enterprise-grade digital platforms that enable secure and interoperable data exchange across multiple sectors.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational excellence for large-scale, mission-critical systems. You will work closely with product, engineering, DevOps, security, and external partners to manage incidents, improve operational processes, and uphold high standards of quality, risk management, and governance.

Mandatory Skill-set

  • Must have 5+ years of experience in Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a similar role within an agile technology environment;
  • Must have proven experience managing incidents and day-to-day operations for enterprise or digital applications (mobile application exposure is a plus);
  • Strong incident management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform under pressure;
  • Must have hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, tools such as JIRA, and CI/CD environments;
  • Good understanding of cloud computing concepts, preferably AWS;
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams including engineering, DevOps, security, and operations;
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams;
  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline;
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset, proactive approach, and ability to drive continuous improvement.

Desired Skill-set

  • Experience supporting national-scale, platform-based, or data exchange systems;
  • Exposure to ISO 27001, Cyber Trust Mark, or similar security and compliance frameworks;
  • Background in site reliability, platform operations, or large-scale system support;
  • Ability to identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead incident recreation, analysis, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution in line with agreed service levels;
  • Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to implement corrective actions and effective workarounds for major incidents;
  • Execute both scheduled and unscheduled operational activities, including system monitoring, deployments, and maintenance;
  • Review and analyse operational environments to ensure consistent configuration management and compliance with standards;
  • Partner closely with product and engineering teams to refine operational processes and improve overall service delivery;
  • Manage external vendors and service partners to ensure service quality and performance expectations are met;
  • Facilitate clear, timely, and effective communication across internal teams and external stakeholders during operations and incidents;
  • Identify and manage operational risks, dependencies, constraints, and defects in collaboration with development and DevOps teams;
  • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance IT policies and procedures aligned with security and governance requirements;
  • Lead and oversee end-to-end certification and compliance activities, including ISO 27001, Cyber Trust Mark, and other relevant standards.
