Working Hours:Rotational Shift (6-Day Cycle):
4 Days Morning (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM) → 2 Days Off → 4 Days Night (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM)

Role Overview

The Production Shift Engineer plays a key role in overseeing daily production activities, ensuring process stability, and driving continuous improvement across plant operations. This role involves supporting production systems, conducting equipment maintenance, managing data analysis, and participating in process optimization and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and testing of new production projects.
• Support maintenance activities for existing production equipment, utilities, and piping systems.
• Assist in improving resin production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency.
• Promote and execute continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Contribute to Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental protection, and fire safety standards.
• Collect, analyze, and monitor production data to establish and optimize operational parameters.
• Support department heads in conducting HAZOP and process improvement analyses.
• Follow up on abnormal production cases, troubleshoot root causes, and provide technical support.
• Assist in new product transfers, pilot trials, and full-scale production ramp-ups.
• Supervise operators to ensure adherence to procedures, productivity targets, and quality requirements.
• Execute assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or process industries (Oil & Gas / Petrochemical experience is advantageous).
• Fluency in Mandarin is preferred to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking partners and vendors.
• Strong leadership qualities with excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Passionate about engineering excellence, process safety, and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge in process optimization, production data analysis, and HAZOP methodology will be an added advantage.
