Job description

As an Infant Childminder based at your own home, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for infants in our program. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of each infant under your supervision. This position requires a nurturing and attentive individual who is passionate about working with young children.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and nurturing care in a home-based setting.
• Create a safe and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development of each infant.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper hygiene practices and safe sleep guidelines.
• Engage infants in age-appropriate activities to encourage sensory exploration, language development, and motor skills.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's daily activities, feeding, and sleeping routines.
• Respond promptly to the needs of each infant, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as required.

Basic Criteria

1) Medically fit to care for at most 3 children.

2) Preferably with experience in caring for children aged between 0-3 years old for the last 2 years.

3) Has a child-safe environment.

4) Not engaged in any other employment, except for home-based employment. Suitable for active stay-at-home mothers.

5) Min "O" level or secondary school qualifications.

6) Those with infant care certification and child first aid certification are highly preferred.

7) Must reside in a minimum 3-room flat to accommodate up to three infants comfortably.

8) Infant Childminders (ICMs) are required to complete the following course before taking in any placements:

• Child First Aid Course
• Food Safety Course
• Basic Infant Care Course ( for those who does not have any Infant Care certificate

All three courses can be fully covered using SkillsFuture Credits

9) ICMs are also required to undergo the Pre-Employment Check-up for Childcare under SATA, at a cost of approximately $60-$80 (self-paid).

Pay: $7.50/hr per infant, can take up to 3 infants per household.

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
