Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Technician to support construction projects by assisting in installation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, testing, and commissioning mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping, and fire protection to meet project specifications
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to guide accurate on-site mechanical work
• Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot mechanical equipment and systems to maintain operational efficiency
• Monitor site progress to ensure mechanical works comply with project requirements and schedules
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities to facilitate smooth mechanical system installation and compliance
• Enforce workplace safety regulations and quality standards during all mechanical construction activities
• Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and records of mechanical work completed for project tracking
• Support engineers by identifying and resolving technical issues encountered during construction

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in construction or mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, and mechanical installations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
• Familiarity with Singapore’s local construction regulations and safety standards
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work on-site
