In this role, you will support the placement and management of insurance programs for various maritime assets. You will work closely with senior team members to ensure that client fleets are protected against operational risks while learning the nuances of the international marine market.

Key responsibilities include:

• Placement Support: Assisting with the preparation of risk profiles for insurers and helping to secure terms that meet client requirements.

• Risk Documentation: Identifying potential gaps in coverage and updating insurance records based on changes in vessel operations or trade routes.

• Policy Administration: Ensuring the accuracy of policy documentation and assisting with maritime regulatory filings.

• Team Coordination: Working with internal departments to provide a smooth service experience for clients from their initial inquiry through to the renewal of their policies.

skills and experience required

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Professional Background: 1 to 3 years of experience in insurance or the maritime industry. Candidates with maritime-related internships or a demonstrated interest in shipping operations are also encouraged to apply.

• Foundational Knowledge: A basic understanding of maritime insurance principles or the Singapore shipping landscape.

• Communication: The ability to convey technical information clearly and work effectively with both internal teams and external partners.

• Education: A Degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Business, or a related field. Relevant insurance certifications (such as BCP, PGI, or ComGI) are an advantage.
