Key Responsibilities

1. Kitchen Operations 🧑‍🍳

• Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.

• Oversee food preparation to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards.

• Ensure all dishes are prepared according to SOPs and recipes.

• Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
  

2. Staff Supervision & Training 🗣️

• Supervise and guide junior chefs and kitchen assistants.

• Conduct on-the-job training for new hires.

• Monitor staff performance and ensure discipline in the kitchen.

• Assist in scheduling kitchen manpower efficiently.
  

3. Food Quality & Safety ✅

• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with Singapore Food Agency regulations.

• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO).

• Monitor cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations.
  

4. Inventory & Cost Control 💰

• Assist in stock ordering and inventory management.

• Monitor portion control to reduce wastage.

• Support in cost control and maintaining food cost targets.

• Conduct daily stock checks and assist in monthly stocktake.
  

5. Administrative Duties 🧑‍💻

• Assist in menu planning and development.

• Support daily sales reconciliation (if required).

• Maintain kitchen records, temperature logs, and wastage reports.

Requirements 🎯

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant kitchen experience, preferably in a supervisory role.

• Culinary certification is an advantage.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Knowledge of food safety regulations in Singapore.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
