Job Summary
Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment for residents, guests, and coworkers.
Responsibilities
- Apply company and department safety and security policies to maintain a secure and hazard-free environment
- Execute property-specific emergency procedures such as evacuations, medical emergencies, and natural disaster responses to protect occupants
- Report work-related accidents or injuries immediately to management to ensure timely response and documentation
- Monitor property premises to identify and report presence of undesirable persons to maintain safety
- Detect unsafe work procedures or conditions and take corrective action or report to management and safety personnel to prevent accidents
- Handle and dispose of hazardous materials including chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, and blood borne pathogens following the Hazardous Material Management Program and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to ensure compliance and safety
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow correct lifting techniques to prevent injury during work tasks
- Complete required safety training and certifications to perform duties safely and effectively
- Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers by following confidentiality protocols
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary company materials and information to safeguard company interests
- Adhere to company policies and procedures consistently in daily operations
- Safeguard company tools, equipment, machines, and assets by following established protection procedures
