Meeting customer and shipment service levels through the effective management of warehouse and logistics. Developing and implementing strategies and initiatives especially around LEAN methodology to add value throughout the department and its processes while influencing both the internal and external environment.

Key tasks :

• Manage, track and ensure the flow of goods into, through and out of the warehouse are in accordance with policy/ regulation so as to maximize service whilst reducing cost
• Manage, track and maintain accuracy and usability of warehouse stock to ensure that stocks are available at all times to fulfil customer orders
• Manage, track and ensure timely PL, Invoicing and logistics arrangement for shipment to External customers with proper communication and escalation if required
• Manage, track and communicate effectively to ensure that all shipment to External customers arrives on time at destination port
• Promote and lead SAFE work process and procedures within the Department and with his/ her staff
• Initiate and lead continuous improvement on process initiatives to increase service levels to Internal and External customers
• Demonstrate strong LEAN methodology by implementation of 5S, waste reduction, continuous flow and standard work within the Department and with his/ her staff
• Liaise with Supply Chain team to establish and achieve common objectives to ensure KPI targets are achieved
• Establish, agree, monitor and report functional KPI’s to ensure the continuous improvement of service levels
• Effectively lead and manage your team members to maintaining high standards of communication and individual performance
• Ensure that staff(s) are trained, have the skills, knowledge and correct attitude to provide the necessary service with SAFETY and QUALITY in mind to ensure that Department exceeds agreed performance and service level targets
• Establish development programmes for each operator aimed at improving their effectiveness and competence through coaching, counselling and training

Requirements :

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehousing and/ or shipping as a Manager
• Preferably with background in manufacturing/ production operations
• Proficient in SAP
• Pro-Active and Self-Motivator
• Experience in Lean and Safe work procedures
• People Management skills
• Degree in Supply Chain/ Logistics
