Job Title: Lighting Designer (East / AWS + VB)
Job Hours: 9am to 6pm
Job Location: Tai Seng

The Opportunity:

• We are looking for a Lighting Designer to support the preparation of lighting layouts, design drawings, lighting calculations, renderings, presentation materials and project documentation for decorative and architectural lighting projects.
• The role is suitable for candidates with 1–2 years of experience in lighting design, interior design, architectural design support, or related project design work. The candidate will work closely with senior designers, project teams and sales teams to support commercial, residential and hospitality lighting projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare lighting design drawings, layouts and plans for commercial, residential and hospitality projects
• Perform lighting calculations using DiaLux Evo to ensure designs meet project and technical requirements
• Develop lighting concepts that balance aesthetics, functionality, technical performance and client requirements
• Produce renderings, visuals and presentation materials to support design proposals and client discussions
• Prepare tender drawings, lighting schedules, mock-up materials and technical documentation
• Assist in selecting suitable lighting fixtures based on design intent, specifications, application, beam angle, wattage, colour temperature and control requirements
• Review product catalogues, technical data sheets and supplier information to support project proposals
• Coordinate with project teams, sales teams, clients, consultants, designers and contractors on design and project requirements
• Support site coordination to ensure lighting design intent is properly implemented
• Follow up on project deliverables and ensure drawings, calculations and submissions are completed on time.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in lighting design, architectural lighting, interior design support or related project design work
• Proficient in AutoCAD and DiaLux Evo
• Proficiency in Photoshop for presentation and visual materials
• Able to read and interpret architectural, interior design and project drawings
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, AGi32, Relux or other design software will be an advantage
• Understanding of lighting controls, dimming systems and project mock-up coordination will be useful
