Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract & Commercial Support

  • Draft, review, format, and track commercial agreements such as:

    • Supplier agreements, Franchise agreements (if applicable), Service contracts, NDAs and MOUs

  • Monitor contract expiry dates and renewal timelines.

  • Maintain a centralized contract database with proper version control.

  • Liaise with Operations and Procurement teams on contractual matters.

2. Licensing & Regulatory Compliance

  • Assist in applications and renewals of F&B-related licences (e.g. SFA, liquor licence, public entertainment licence).

  • Track licence expiry dates across all outlets to ensure timely renewals.

  • Coordinate documentation required for inspections and regulatory audits.

  • Support compliance with local employment regulations, hygiene standards, and operational requirements.

3. Tenancy & Outlet Support

  • Assist in reviewing tenancy agreements and lease documents.

  • Track key tenancy dates (rent review, renewal options, reinstatement deadlines).

  • Coordinate documentation for new outlet openings and closures.

  • Liaise with landlords and mall management offices when required.

4. Corporate & Administrative Support

  • Maintain proper filing of legal documents (physical and digital).

  • Manage legal department calendar and track deadlines.

  • Prepare board resolutions and internal approvals when required.

  • Handle legal correspondence and communication with external counsel.

5. Claims & Dispute Support

  • Assist in compiling documents for disputes, claims, or insurance matters.

  • Coordinate with external lawyers when litigation arises.

  • Track and monitor outstanding legal matters.

6. Financial & Reporting Support

  • Process legal invoices and maintain legal expense records.

  • Assist with budget tracking for legal matters.

  • Prepare periodic reports on licence status and contract renewals.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Law, Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal/Paralegal Studies, or a related field.

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
