About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Design & Engineering team. This role focuses on delivering robust electrical solutions for data center and mission-critical environments, covering Extra Low Voltage (ELV), Low Voltage (LV), Medium Voltage (MV), High Voltage (HV), and related systems.

You will play a key role in both pre-sales and project delivery phases, translating client requirements into practical, efficient, and scalable engineering solutions, while ensuring alignment with technical standards and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solution Engineering

• Support technical input for RFP responses and proposal development
• Collaborate with internal teams to design integrated and practical electrical solutions
• Ensure coordination across disciplines to deliver complete and viable solutions

Technical Design & Engineering

• Oversee electrical system design including MV/LV distribution, power systems, and backup systems
• Review engineering calculations such as load analysis, system performance, and power reliability
• Ensure designs are compliant, efficient, and aligned with project requirements

Stakeholder Engagement

• Work with clients, consultants, vendors, and relevant authorities
• Provide technical support during design reviews and discussions

Project Support & Delivery

• Provide technical guidance during construction, testing, and commissioning phases
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving on-site electrical issues

Standards & Quality

• Ensure compliance with company standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
• Support continuous improvement of engineering processes

Product & Procurement Support

• Support evaluation of vendors and technical solutions
• Work with procurement teams on product selection

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product, and delivery
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and team capability development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• At least 10 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience in data center or mission-critical environments is preferred
• Strong understanding of power systems, electrical distribution, and backup systems
• Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and operational requirements
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer, or equivalent certification
• Experience with data center standards (e.g. Uptime Institute, TIA)
• Exposure to design, commissioning, or operations in critical environments

Technical Competencies

• Knowledge of electrical systems including MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, and control systems
• Understanding of design coordination across disciplines (e.g. mechanical, ICT, controls)
• Familiarity with construction, commissioning, and operational processes
