Job Description
The LCA RBTX Junior Engineer is a specialized, dual-function role primarily dedicated to advancing the RBTX platform within the Singapore/Malaysia region and supporting the broader Low-Cost Automation (LCA) strategy. The core focus is on RBTX platform development, vendor management (localization of purchasing), and technical field support. Secondary duties involve supporting Drylin E products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
I. Primary Focus: RBTX Platform Development & Procurement
• RBTX Platform Development: Lead the promotion and technical adoption of the RBTX platform.
• Vendor Alias/Local Sourcing: Serve as the main point of contact to liaise with all RBTX platform vendors to
establish and facilitate the process of converting purchasing to local purchasing links. This is to ensure
customers can buy RBTX products locally instead of through HQ.
• Regional RBTX Support: Provide assistance to other ASEAN colleagues by supporting RBTX demos and
explanations as needed.
• Training Packages: Deliver the newly introduced robot training packages to customers and partners.
II. Secondary Focus: Technical and Service Support
• Field Technical Support: Go on site to support the sales team and customers for technical issues and after-sales
service related to RBTX and Drylin E products. This is required within Singapore.
• Drylin E RFQ Support: Support the sales team by assisting with Drylin E product and related services RFQs.
• Technical Sales & Demos: Provide technical expertise and demonstrations for Drylin E components, including
the New Drylin E (Dryve box).
• Product Simplification: Assist in creating instructional videos , demonstrating the ease of use of RBTX and Drylin
E products and how to install Dryve systems.
Qualifications and Skills
•Education:
- National Technical Certificate (NTC) / Industrial Technical Certificate (ITC) or a recognized equivalent in a
technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Specialization or certification in Robotics is highly advantageous.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an engineering, applications, or technical field service role. Experience or
demonstrated interest in supply chain, vendor management, or procurement is a significant advantage.
• Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of robotics/automation principles and components
- Familiarity with motion systems, drives, and controls (Dryve systems).
- Ability to perform hands-on assembly, troubleshooting, and field service.
- Knowledge of simple programming language(s) relevant to industrial controls or robotics.
• Soft Skills:
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills for liaising with external vendors.
- Strong presentation and communication skills for technical training and customer support.
- Mobility Requirement: Must be willing to travel extensively within Singapore for on-site support. Occasional
travel to Malaysia may be required based on business needs.
