Our established client within the public healthcare setting is seeking a Junior Medical Technologist to join their organization.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless patient services.

• Perform various pulmonary function tests and allergy tests as requested by clinicians.

• Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure procedures are executed effectively.

• Monitor and manage the usage of procedure rooms.

• Accurately record and report test results in the computer system, providing timely updates to the supervising physician.

• Coordinate urgent requests for Lung Function and Allergy tests with relevant departments.

• Maintain lab equipment and inventory, ensuring proper documentation of maintenance and replacements.

• Procure necessary supplies to prevent stock shortages while ensuring all items are within validity.

• Supervise and guide staff, including onboarding of new team members, to uphold high patient care standards.

• Develop and implement quality standards for clinical laboratory procedures.

• Address patient feedback and inquiries, ensuring effective service recovery.

• Assist with patient registration and appointment scheduling.

• Participate in service quality initiatives and training sessions.

• Compile and maintain statistical reports on laboratory performance.

• Undertake any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Biomedical Science or Biotechnology.

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in lab setting is preferred.

• Proficient in computer skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
