Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible in operating micro tunnel boring machine (Pipe Jacking Machine) within varying ground conditions and according to provided tunnelling parameters. He is responsible for the safe, technical and economical operation of the pipe jacking machine, through the control room and to ensure the various projects are executed within the approved schedule and according to project parameters.

Assist in the mobilization and de-mobilization of the pipe jacking operations for any site setup and ensure preventive maintenance of all equipment are performed appropriately.

Undertake cutterhead and tool inspection during the drive, take charge of emergency situations within the TBM.

Maintaining and producing operational reports and daily activity logs.

Promote a safety culture; identify and communicate any and all working environment safety hazards.

Requirements

Minimum Mechanical and/or Civil education

Minimum 2 years of specialized experience in handling Pipe Jacking Machines and/or micro-tunnelling experience.

Relevant work experience in tunnelling/pipe jacking works and pipe laying works within Construction and/or Civil Engineering projects

Experience in DB works and construction supervision of works of similar magnitude would be ideal for this position

Demonstrated understanding of steering and control of micro-tunnelling/pipe jacking machine and ability to skilfully steer machine remotely below ground to the destination
