  Job Description

  We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex digital initiatives within a large-scale retail banking environment. This role is responsible for end-to-end project governance, stakeholder management, and delivery execution across business, technology, and operations teams.

  The successful candidate will manage high-value programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive outcomes aligned with strategic business objectives while operating in a fast-paced, enterprise banking environment.
  

  
  Key Responsibilities

  Project & Delivery Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of digital and technology projects from initiation through implementation and closure.

  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, implementation roadmaps, and delivery milestones in collaboration with business, technology, operations, and compliance stakeholders.

  • Chair project working group meetings and facilitate steering committee updates, ensuring clear escalation and decision-making.

  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve delivery risks, conflicts, and critical path issues.

  • Prepare business cases and provide strategic recommendations for system enhancements, platform upgrades, and process improvements.

  • Ensure adherence to internal governance frameworks, technology risk management standards, and regulatory requirements.

  Stakeholder & Governance Management

  • Manage senior stakeholder expectations through structured governance, clear communication, and transparent reporting.

  • Act as the primary point of contact across business, IT, operations, compliance, and external partners.

  • Deliver concise executive-level updates, presentations, and status reports to senior management.

  • Identify interdependencies across projects and portfolios, proactively mitigating risks to delivery outcomes.

  • Drive alignment between business objectives, technology delivery, and operational readiness.

  Leadership & Execution

  • Lead cross-functional delivery teams and motivate stakeholders toward shared delivery goals.

  • Support Agile delivery practices where applicable, including sprint planning, reviews, and backlog prioritisation.

  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining delivery discipline under tight timelines.

  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimise delivery processes, governance, and controls.

  Requirements

  Experience & Qualifications

  • 6–9 years of relevant experience in project or program management within retail banking or financial services.

  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects with budgets in the range of SGD 10–20 million.

  • Demonstrated track record of leading end-to-end project delivery in complex, regulated environments.

  • Exposure to digital banking platforms, customer-facing systems, or enterprise technology initiatives is strongly preferred.

  • Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, Lean/Six Sigma, or equivalent is advantageous.

  Skills & Competencies

  • Strong stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Solid understanding of banking technology, operational processes, and regulatory considerations.

  • Proven ability to analyse risks, manage dependencies, and make data-driven decisions related to delivery timelines and budgets.

  • Hands-on experience working in Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments.

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities.
