At Siemens Energy, we are leading the energy transition by developing and manufacturing advanced gas turbines and industrial heat pumps. Our gas turbines are at the forefront of green fuel adoption, while our heat pumps support the decarbonization of industrial and district heating systems. This rapid innovation brings exciting challenges—particularly for our gas turbine measurement systems.

We are now looking for a Measurement and Data Acquisition Engineer to join our team!

In this role, you will be part of the group responsible for the design and advancement of measurement methods applied to our products. Your daily work will involve developing, supporting, and implementing measurement system solutions for gas turbine technologies. You will independently drive problem-solving tasks, provide technical guidance to colleagues in product development, and participate in the installation, operation, and removal of the measurement systems under your responsibility.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Support gas turbine test commissioning through your expertise in measurement methods, instrumentation, and installation.
• Validate new design concepts and developments applied to Siemens Energy gas turbines.
• Assist in prototype engine testing and commissioning activities.
• Operate and configure our in-house data acquisition software.
• Maintain and enhance measurement methods and systems to ensure continuous support for Siemens Energy’s portfolio of safe, reliable, and efficient equipment.
• Provide support to colleagues in related measurement areas, including electronics, measurement chains, and software development for data management.
• Work on-site during engine commissioning and contribute to test data collection.
• Expand your expertise in various measurement techniques, including thermocouples, pressure sensors, strain gauges, optical and infrared cameras, pyrometry, vibration and noise sensors, and more.

What You Bring

• Secondary education in electronics, instrumentation, electrical installations, or measurement technology.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as electronics, electrical circuits, instrumentation, or measurement technology is desirable.
• Practical experience in building electronic circuits and measurement chains is highly valued.
• Experience with measurement systems and electronic circuits in industrial applications.
• Prior experience in gas turbine commissioning is appreciated.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• A curious and proactive mindset with a passion for learning and innovation.

The team is focused on R&D projects and will consist of people from all around the world and with different backgrounds. We strive to support each other and build a strong technical knowledge within the team. There is always someone to discuss solutions and ideas with before presenting the final scope. An internal mentorship program is set up to take care of new team members.
