Quantum Machine Tools Pte. Ltd. is a wholesale machine tools trading house that sells CNC machines to manufacturing companies in Singapore. We provide turnkey solutions for our customers and perform services such as machine installations, relocation, repairs, preventive maintenance and more.
Job Summary
Join Quantum Machine Tools as a Human Resource Generalist/Admin. The candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role is responsible for the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, and ensuring compliance with the Employment Act. You will be the primary point of contact for employees across all departments (Sales, Admin, Engineering, and Accounts).
Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end hiring process, from drafting job descriptions and posting to job portals (MyCareersFuture, JobStreet) to conducting interviews and preparing Letter of Offers.
- Payroll & Benefits: Process monthly payroll, CPF contributions, and IR8A submissions. Manage staff leave, medical claims, and insurance renewals.
- Compliance: Ensure all HR practices align with Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations. Manage Work Permit/S-Pass/EP applications and renewals via EPOL/WPOL.
- Employee Relations: Act as a bridge between management and employees by addressing questions, grievances, or other issues.
- Performance Management: Facilitate the annual performance appraisal process and assist in the implementation of the company's job grade and salary band system.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate courses (e.g., safety certifications for Engineering or technical skills for Sales).
- Company Events: Organize small-scale company gatherings or team-bonding activities.
- General Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Managing Director and assist the Accounts department with basic data entry or invoicing if required.
Required competencies and qualifications
- Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR role, preferably within an SME.
Technical Skills: * Strong knowledge of the Singapore Employment Act.
Proficiency in all MS software.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
A proactive "problem-solver" mindset.
