Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking activities.
• Plan, review, and update menus to ensure quality and consistency.
• Monitor and control food and labour costs according to approved budgets.
• Recruit, train, and schedule kitchen staff based on operational needs.
• Ensure adherence to standard recipes, portion control, and food presentation guidelines.
• Provide guidance, support, and training to improve team performance.
• Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and coordinate purchases when required.
• Perform administrative and operational tasks related to kitchen management.
• Undertake any other duties assigned as part of business operations.

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent qualification, with at least 10 years of relevant culinary experience in a full-service kitchen.
• Valid food hygiene and safety certification.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage and respond to team members constructively.
