🌟 Role Overview

We are seeking a senior quality and new product development leader to establish and drive a global-quality governance framework across the full product lifecycle — from early design stages through product launch and ramp-up into high-volume manufacturing.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring product excellence, risk mitigation, and customer satisfaction across multiple manufacturing sites and global stakeholders.

The successful candidate will act as a key bridge between engineering, manufacturing, and customer-facing functions to ensure seamless product introduction and sustained quality performance.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

🚀 New Product Development Quality Leadership

• Define and establish end-to-end quality framework for new product development programs
• Develop and implement quality control plans aligned with product design specifications and reliability targets
• Drive quality assurance activities from concept stage through prototype, validation, and product launch

⚠️ Risk & Compliance Management

• Lead structured risk assessments across product lifecycle to identify design, process, and manufacturing vulnerabilities
• Implement mitigation strategies aligned with global quality standards (including automotive/industrial-grade frameworks where applicable)
• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to proactively manage product and reputational risks

🏭 Manufacturing & Launch Quality Governance

• Oversee quality performance across multiple manufacturing sites (regional and global)
• Ensure robust quality system integration from NPD into mass production environments
• Lead quality surveillance, audit readiness, and production readiness assessments

🤝 Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as key quality interface for strategic customers during product introduction and launch phases
• Ensure alignment of customer expectations with engineering and manufacturing capabilities
• Manage escalations related to product quality, reliability, and field performance

📊 Systems & Digital Quality Transformation

• Develop workflow governance system leveraging APQP principles and structured lesson-learned database
• Drive integration of quality data systems with enterprise platforms (e.g. ERP / PLM / tracking systems)
• Improve visibility and analytics capability across product portfolio and manufacturing sites

👥 Leadership & Organizational Development

• Lead and develop a multi-site quality team across Asia manufacturing locations
• Set departmental KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Strengthen cross-functional collaboration between engineering, operations, and quality teams

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related discipline
• Strong background in semiconductor, electronics, or precision manufacturing environment
• Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI / NPD) quality leadership roles
• Familiar with quality systems such as APQP, IATF 16949, ISO 9001 or equivalent frameworks
• Strong understanding of manufacturing quality, reliability engineering, and product lifecycle management
• Experience leading multi-site or regional teams across manufacturing locations
• Strong stakeholder management skills with executive-level exposure
• Familiarity with Six Sigma / structured problem-solving methodologies is highly advantageous
• Experience in digitalization of quality systems or data integration initiatives will be a strong plus

• Frequent regional travel required (including China manufacturing sites, >50% annually)
• May require temporary or long-term assignment at overseas manufacturing locations
