Our esteemed client in the IT industry is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join their dynamic team:

• Employment Type: 1-year renewable contract
• Position: Frontend Engineer  
• Location: Novena
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6pm (Hybrid Working Arrangements)
• Salary Package: Up to $7,200 + Bonus + Medical Benefits

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications with a focus on geospatial solutions and modern web technologies.
• Develop and maintain frontend components for web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (Next.js, Leaflet.js, etc)
• Implement responsive and cross-browser compatible user interfaces
• Integrate frontend applications (AWS services, external systems) with RESTful APIs and backend services
• Collaborate with development teams using Agile methodologies
• Optimize applications for scalability, observability, and cost-efficiency in an AWS cloud-native environment.
• Apply security best practices and ensure compliance with AWS security standards
• Ensure code quality through testing and code reviews

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related disciplines.
• Highly proficient in jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, WebGL, and Node.js.
• Strong experience with the React.js framework.
• Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs.
• Solid expertise in cross-browser development and compatibility.
• Experience with open-source geospatial libraries/solutions (e.g., Leaflet.js, Mapbox JS, Cesium) is an advantage.
• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS or MongoDB is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization tools (e.g., Docker) is preferred.
• Experience with AWS services is a plus.
• Understanding of modern development workflows and tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD practices).
