We welcome applications from experienced licensed coaches, individuals exploring a mid-career transition into football coaching, and aspiring young coaches who are serious about developing in the profession.

Available Positions

1. Qualified Football Coaches

(AFC ‘C’ Licence, AFC ‘B’ Licence, or equivalent)

This role is suited for qualified coaches who are able to lead the planning and delivery of structured football sessions and contribute to the development of players and programmes.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality football training sessions
• Leading academy, school, and community-based teams where required
• Supporting player development in both technical and personal growth
• Contributing to the overall quality and standards of FootballPlus programmes

2. Mid-Career Switch Candidates

This position is intended for individuals who are considering a transition into football coaching and are motivated to pursue a meaningful career in youth development through sport.

Successful candidates will receive:

• Structured on-the-job training
• Mentorship and professional support
• Opportunities to work towards relevant coaching qualifications
• Exposure to academy, school, and community football settings

3. Aspiring Young Coaches

(Full-Time / Part-Time)

This opportunity is designed for young individuals who are passionate about football and are seeking to begin their coaching journey in a professional and developmental environment.

The role will include:

• Assisting in the delivery of coaching sessions and football programmes
• Learning alongside experienced coaches and technical leaders
• Receiving practical training and professional development
• Building experience towards future coaching qualifications and career progression

Main Responsibilities

Depending on the role and level of experience, responsibilities may include:

• Planning and conducting engaging, purposeful, and age-appropriate football sessions
• Coaching academy, school, and community teams assigned by FootballPlus
• Supporting the delivery of football-based community programmes and outreach initiatives
• Assisting in the organisation and execution of football events and projects
• Working closely with the Player Development Manager and coaching team to maintain high standards in session delivery and player development
• Representing FootballPlus in a professional, responsible, and values-driven manner

Qualifications and Requirements

• AFC ‘C’ Licence or above, or equivalent recognised coaching qualification, preferred for experienced coaching roles
• Demonstrated passion for football coaching, youth development, and community impact
• Strong willingness to learn, grow, and contribute within a team environment
• Good communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
• Mid-career switch candidates and aspiring coaches must be prepared to undergo a structured training and work attachment programme, with progression towards relevant certification pathways
