Finance Senior Manager

We are supporting a Japan-headquartered food manufacturing and F&B group that operates across several markets in Asia. The Singapore entity serves as the regional headquarters, overseeing operations and financial management for subsidiaries in Taiwan and Indonesia.

As the business continues to grow, the group is looking to appoint a Finance Senior Manager to lead the finance and accounting function in Singapore while supporting regional financial management across the group.

This role will work closely with headquarters in Japan and regional subsidiaries, ensuring strong financial oversight, accurate reporting, and well-structured accounting processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Leadership & Oversight

• Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations for the Singapore entity

• Lead and manage the finance and accounting team

• Strengthen financial reporting processes and improve internal accounting workflows

Regional Finance Management

• Provide financial management support to subsidiaries in Taiwan and Indonesia

• Monitor financial performance across regional entities and support management decision-making

• Ensure alignment with group financial policies and reporting standards

Group Reporting & Consolidation Support

• Prepare financial reporting packages for the parent company in Japan

• Compile financial information required for group consolidation

• Support monthly and year-end closing processes for the Singapore entity

Audit & Compliance

• Liaise with external auditors and coordinate the Singapore statutory audit process

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Intercompany Transactions & Transfer Pricing

• Manage intercompany transactions including royalties, management service fees, and product exports between entities

• Support transfer pricing documentation and ensure proper recording of related-party transactions

Candidate Profile

Core Experience

• Practical accounting and finance experience in Singapore

• Experience managing external audits and statutory reporting

• Exposure to working with group companies or overseas subsidiaries

• Ability to prepare consolidation reporting materials and oversee monthly closing activities

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of SFRS / IFRS

• Understanding of cost accounting principles

• Strong financial analysis and reporting capability

• Strong Excel and data management skills

• Familiarity with intercompany transactions and group reporting

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting group consolidation processes

• Experience overseeing finance for overseas subsidiaries

• Exposure to transfer pricing documentation

• Prior experience working with Big4 auditors

• Background in manufacturing, food production, or F&B businesses

Qualifications

• CPA / ACCA / CA or equivalent accounting qualification preferred

• Candidates with strong practical accounting experience will also be considered

The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with a hands-on operational approach. This is a role suited to someone comfortable managing both day-to-day accounting operations and regional reporting responsibilities in an international business environment.
