We’re hiring a Field Operations Coordinator to serve as the on-ground first responder, route patroller, and operational bridge between AVs, remote teams, and the public within the Punggol Operational Design Domain (ODD).

🌟 Job Purpose

The Field Operations Coordinator is a critical field-based role supporting the safe and reliable operations of Autonomous Vehicles. You will patrol routes, identify hazards, respond to on-road incidents, assist with AV recovery, and support public-facing activities.

Your work ensures safety, service continuity, and high-quality AV operations.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

1. ODD Patrolling & Hazard Detection

• Conduct routine patrols along the AV service route to identify: Road closures, construction works, or physical obstacles
• Illegally parked vehicles obstructing AV paths
• Unsafe pedestrian/cyclist behavior
• Environmental conditions affecting AV performance (e.g., flooding, low visibility)
• Log hazards using mobile tools and notify the control center in real time.

2. Incident First Response

• Serve as the first person deployed to incidents involving AVs, passengers, or the public.
• Manage the on-site environment by directing pedestrians, guiding nearby traffic, and assisting passengers according to internal protocols.
• Work with remote operations teams to determine next steps (resets, towing, transfers).
• Record incident details thoroughly, including environmental conditions and witness accounts.

3. On-Ground Operational Support

• Support AV field testing, validation runs, and special events (e.g., VIP demos, media).
• Assist with recovery procedures for stalled or stopped AVs.
• Provide occasional customer service or public engagement as needed.

4. AV & Infrastructure Monitoring

• Inspect shuttle stops for cleanliness, accessibility, and correct signage.
• Flag maintenance issues for roadside equipment (QR stands, wayfinding markers).
• Deploy and retrieve cones, temporary markers, and other field assets.

🎓 Mandatory Qualifications & Skills

• At least 1-2 years of experience in transport operations, logistics, field services, or security (or equivalent)
• Strong situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Valid Class 3/3A Singapore driving license
• Comfortable using digital reporting and communication tools (e.g., Slack, ticketing apps)
• Physically fit for extended walking, cycling, or standing outdoors
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety.
