Job Description & Requirements

As an Excavation Tool Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and analysis of excavation tools used in various projects. Your role will focus on tool refurbishment, inventory management, and technical support for HAQ projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in collating the cutterhead intervention reports and geological reports from projects for analysis
• Preparing the cutter refurbishment reports for clients with accompanying photos and assist in the analysis of spare excavation tool performance for Herrenknecht projects
• Assist in managing spare excavation tool common stock inventory for Herrenknecht projects
• Assist in training cutter mechanics on the cutter refurbishment procedure and perform quality control (QC) checks on the tools and equipment at the cutter workshop to ensure they meet all standards
• Manage the maintenance and inventory of cutter workshop equipment (i.e. hydraulic presses, induction heaters, special tools, lifting devices, oil exchange system, etc)
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor, including supporting ad-hoc project requirements, troubleshooting, or other tasks that may arise

Job Requirements:

• Master/ Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Some knowledge of Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) technology would be good but not necessary
• Fresh graduate may apply as training will be provided
• Ideal candidate should be a fast learner and industrious
• Possess good interpersonal and effective communication skill
• An excellent team player who can also work well independently with minimum supervision and results-oriented in a fast-paced environment
• Good computer literacy skills with software, like Microsoft and/or windows applications
