Drupal Platform Operations Engineer (L2 Support)

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide Day 2 (L2) operational support for Drupal CMS platforms, including application, web servers (Apache/Nginx), PHP, and MySQL/MariaDB.
2. Monitor system health, availability, and performance across the full Drupal application stack.
3. Perform routine maintenance, operational checks, and troubleshooting in Linux-based environments.
4. Support Drupal core and module updates, patches, and platform upgrades following change management processes.
5. Execute user onboarding/offboarding, including account setup, roles, permissions, and access controls.
6. Manage project and environment onboarding, including Drupal site setup, databases, repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.
7. Handle Service Requests (SRs) such as access changes, configuration updates, and content structure modifications.
8. Support Change Requests (CRs), including system enhancements, tuning, and controlled deployments.
9. Participate in impact analysis, implementation planning, and post-change validation activities.
10. Perform platform housekeeping: log management, cache clearing, database optimization, and storage cleanup.
11. Manage backups and restoration processes, and support disaster recovery (DR) readiness.
12. Monitor and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab) to ensure smooth deployment operations.
13. Apply security patches and enforce compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
14. Maintain documentation, runbooks, and support audit/compliance activities.
15. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, escalating risks and contributing to process improvements.
