Job Description
We are seeking a commercially driven Sales Director to expand our presence across Asia (excluding North Asia). This role is responsible for driving new business acquisition while nurturing key institutional relationships across B2B and B2B2C segments. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in growing regional revenue by delivering tailored solutions to financial institutions and fintech partners.
With a strong grasp of capital markets, trading ecosystems, and brokerage technology, you will lead complex deal cycles and build enduring partnerships that support long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with institutional clients including banks, brokerages, asset and wealth managers, and fintech firms across the region.
- Build and expand a high-value client portfolio, driving revenue growth through strategic account development and cross-selling initiatives.
- Own the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting and solution pitching to commercial negotiations and deal closure, in collaboration with internal pre-sales teams.
- Act as a central point of coordination for client engagement, working closely with Customer Success and Sales Trading teams to ensure smooth onboarding and continued client satisfaction.
- Deliver against assigned revenue goals, regularly reviewing account performance and executing strategic account plans.
- Deepen client relationships by identifying opportunities to introduce additional products and services.
- Partner with Marketing to design and execute go-to-market initiatives that enhance brand visibility and solution adoption.
- Collaborate with Technology teams to ensure product offerings remain competitive, scalable, and aligned with client requirements.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Stay informed on industry developments to continuously position the firm’s offerings effectively within the market.
Key Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in institutional sales within financial markets, fintech, trading platforms, or brokerage solutions.
- Demonstrated success in selling capital markets or trading-related products to financial institutions.
- Well-established network across regional banks, brokers, asset managers, and fintech companies.
- Proven ability to navigate complex sales environments and manage long-term strategic partnerships.
- Strong business acumen with excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to build credibility and trust with senior stakeholders.
- Singapore-based, with flexibility to travel across Asia as required.
