Job Description

The Director-General is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing the overall management and operational performance of the organisation. The role includes planning long-term business strategies, managing senior teams, and ensuring effective governance and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

* Develop and implement the organisation’s strategic plans and long-term business objectives.

* Provide leadership and direction to senior management and departmental teams.

* Identify business opportunities and drive organisational growth.

Operational Management

* Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure efficient organisational performance.

* Monitor departmental activities and ensure alignment with corporate goals.

* Implement operational policies and performance management frameworks.

Financial and Resource Management

* Lead budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.

* Monitor financial performance and ensure cost control and sustainability.

* Ensure proper risk management and financial governance.

Governance and Compliance

* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards in Singapore.

* Establish policies and procedures to support organisational accountability and transparency.

Stakeholder Engagement

* Represent the organisation in business and industry engagements.

* Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.


Requirements

* Minimum 15 years of industry experience, including senior management and leadership team management experience

* Relevant professional certification such as BCA licence certification from the Building and Construction Authority.

* Strong leadership, operational planning, and project management capabilities.

* Experience managing large teams and complex operational activities.

* Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

* Strong financial management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

* Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
