Job Description
The role provides executive leadership for a Singapore-based startup specializing in technology-enhanced education support services. This position blends strategic planning, operational management, education innovation, and partnership development. Leveraging extensive experience across new materials, state-owned enterprises, information technology, smart-city solutions, and international education, the Director will establish scalable operations, lead market expansion, and build sustainable growth in the EdTech and education services sector.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the company’s long-term strategic plan and annual operating roadmap.
Build a scalable, technology-enabled business model for education support services.
Establish corporate structure, internal systems, and operational processes aligned with early-stage growth and future expansion.
Identify new market opportunities across Singapore and the ASEAN region.
Oversee design and implementation of AI-enabled learning tools, digital platforms, and student support systems.
Lead R&D initiatives to strengthen the company’s EdTech solutions and competitive advantage.
Ensure all solutions comply with Singapore’s education and data governance regulations.
Build operational frameworks, standardized workflows, and performance management systems.
Recruit and lead cross-functional teams across product, operations, marketing, and educational delivery.
Lead strategic collaboration with schools, training providers, government bodies, technology partners, and industry associations.
Drive market expansion leveraging previous success in provincial and national AI education initiatives.
Develop and manage international cooperation programs and global education resource integration.
Establish cross-border learning pathways and international student support initiatives.
Research and adapt global education trends to the Singapore context.
Requirements
Min. 10 to 15 years experience in large scale IT Project and security management in the Education and/or Government sector
Experience working with government agencies, state-owned enterprises, and cross-border partners
Background in Engineering Management, strong ability to build teams, systems, and scalable operations from the ground up
Proven track record in education technology, digital transformation, or related fields
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-cultural collaboration skills
Must be fully fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written).
The role requires frequent communication with China-based partners, stakeholders, and internal teams. Ability to draft business documents, strategic reports, and partnership proposals in Mandarin is essential.
