Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for application build, test, and deployment

Support hybrid deployment models, including:
o Deployment to on-premise application servers

o Deployment to AWS environments (DEV / SIT / UAT / PROD)

Manage and operate GitLab Runners (self-hosted on-prem and cloud-based)

Automate deployment workflows, approvals, and rollback mechanisms

Integrate CI/CD pipelines with security and quality gates (e.g. SAST, dependency scans, code quality checks)

Collaborate with application teams to onboard new services into the CI/CD framework

Troubleshoot pipeline failures and deployment issues across on-prem and cloud environments

Ensure CI/CD practices comply with organizational security, audit, and governance requirements

Maintain CI/CD documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures

Required Skills:
Top 3 primary/MUST have skills:
1. GitLab CI/CD
a. Pipeline design using .gitlab-ci.yml
b. GitLab Runners (self-hosted and shared)
c. Branching, release, and environment promotion strategies
2. AWS
a. Deployment to EC2 / ECS / related AWS services
b. IAM roles and least-privilege access for CI/CD
c. Integration with VPC, security groups, and load balancers
3. Deployment Automation
a. Automated deployments to on-premise application servers and cloud targets
4. Environment-specific configuration management
Good to have skills (Optional):
1. Infrastructure as Code
o Terraform / CloudFormation for AWS resources
2. Security & Compliance
o DevSecOps practices, vulnerability scanning, secrets management
3. Scripting & Tooling
o Bash / PowerShell / Python for automation and operational tasks
