Clinic Assistant

Job Summary

You will perform healthcare assistant duties including patient appointment management, clinical measurements, specimen handling, and assisting with health screening services to support patient care and clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Take and manage patient appointments, registrations, billing, and payment collection accurately to support clinic workflow
• Arrange follow-up and referral appointments to ensure continuity of patient care
• Measure and record clinical parameters such as temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, resting ECG, and perform Urea breath tests to assist clinical assessments
• Dispense medication and coordinate with the laboratory for specimen collection and ordering of laboratory consumables as needed
• Perform nasopharyngeal swabs for patients when required to support diagnostic testing
• Explain and introduce health screening packages to patients and corporate clients, tailoring screening programs based on clinical indications, patient needs, and cost considerations
• Collate and compile health screening results, arranging follow-up reviews and appointments to ensure patient understanding and care continuity
• Assist patients with insurance claims including TPA, Medisave, CHAS, and Healthier SG to facilitate payment processes
• Participate in clinic housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, mopping floors, and wiping down high-touch surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Perform phlebotomy (blood taking) for patients if skilled, to support diagnostic services

Competencies

• Ability to perform phlebotomy (blood taking) for patients will be an added enhancement for clinical service delivery
• Ability to work independently
