Job Summary

Safely operate Class 4 trucks to deliver goods across assigned routes while ensuring cargo security, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 4 trucks to deliver pallets, loose materials, and cargo according to delivery orders
• Securely load cargo and verify it matches delivery documentation before departure
• Complete island-wide or regional deliveries as assigned, adhering to scheduled routes and timelines
• Conduct daily vehicle checks including tires, lights, oil, water, and battery to ensure safe operation
• Report any unusual vehicle sounds or mechanical issues immediately to maintenance teams
• Follow all road safety regulations and traffic laws during vehicle operation
• Maintain accurate documentation for all deliveries and collections
• Report any discrepancies in cargo or delivery status promptly to supervisors
• Communicate delivery progress, incidents, delays, or vehicle issues to supervisors or controllers
• Collaborate with logistics and dispatch teams to ensure smooth delivery operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Valid Class 4 Driving Licence

• Prior experience in logistics or delivery driving
• Good knowledge of traffic rules and safety practices
• Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks
• Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious attitude
