CI/CD Engineer (Kubernetes & Containerization Focus)

About the Role
As a CI/CD Engineer, you will be at the core of our software delivery lifecycle, designing and maintaining automated build, test, and deployment pipelines with a strong emphasis on containerization. You’ll work with Kubernetes, Docker, and modern DevOps practices to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure deployments across environments.

Job Description:

Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for microservices and containerized applications in agnostic hosting environments

• Develop and manage Kubernetes clusters (deployment, scaling, monitoring, upgrades)
• Implement containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes best practices
• Automate build, release, and deployment processes
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and cloud engineers to streamline delivery workflows
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve container orchestration and CI/CD performance
• Implement automated testing, security scans, and policy enforcement in pipelines
• Ensure deployments meet resilience, scalability, and compliance requirements
• Document processes, standards, and playbooks for CI/CD and container operations
• Continuously evaluate new DevOps tools and practices to improve delivery speed and reliability

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or platform engineering
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE, or on-prem) and Docker
• Experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (eg. Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Experience integrating pipelines with tools for Source Control & Collaboration and Quality & Security (eg. unit test, integration tests, source code scanning, DAST, SAST)
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Ansible)
• Solid understanding of container networking, monitoring, and security (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Istio, Falco)
• Effective communicator who thrives in cross-functional teams, and above all, have a strong ownership mindset

Nice to have:

• Experience with IaC (Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, or similar)
• Artifact & Version Management(e.g., Nexus, Artifactory, GitHub Packages), Deployment Automation (Terraform / Helm / Ansible)
• Monitoring & Validation: Ability to set up health checks, analyze logs, and integrate with monitoring/alerting systems and pipelines-as-code.
• Familiarity with SG Tech Stack(eg. SHIP/HATS).
