Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
Translate drawings over to workable and buildable projects
Cut, shape timber according to measurements/requirements
Installation of wooden fixtures such as cabinets or shelving unit
Maintenance of differing wooden fixtures or repairs
Prepare accurate measurements specifications by using rulers, plumb bops, levels, framing squares
Designing items or components of items according to drawings
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
Can speak and write basic English
Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
Ability to read technical documents and drawings
Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
Good understanding of basic Math
Good physical condition and endurance
Understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
