Our client is the leader in the manufacturing company, they are seeking for an experienced buyer to join the team on a 12 month contract

Location: Upper Changi
Salary up to $5500
Contract: 12 Month

• Perform business-related direct purchasing of spares and parts.
• Understand the company’s products and tools to ensure accurate purchasing decisions.
• Access detailed drawings and specifications related to part numbers to provide correct information to suppliers.
• CVD buyers require Teamcenter access to retrieve engineering data.
• Utilize SAP in day-to-day operations for purchase order creation, tracking, and reporting.
• Execute tasks similar to an RFT buyer, handling routine purchasing activities.
• Create Purchase Orders (POs) according to supplier lead times (LT) and approved pricing.
• Provide suppliers with latest drawings and BOMs (e.g., SCV/SIX) for accurate order fulfillment.
• Manage supplier order delivery schedules and maintain timely schedule updates in SAP.
• Follow established order management processes and procedures, including:Supplier delivery trackingEngineering Change Notice (ECN) implementationFirst Article Inspection (FAI) processOutstanding Goods Receipt (GR) & Invoice Receipt (IR) follow-up
• Collaborate with engineering and MPM/SCM teams to recommend new suppliers.
• Coordinate and drive purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering to maintain inventory at planned levels.
• Pull and review part specifications and engineering drawings for accurate procurement.
• Utilize knowledge of material types to communicate effectively with engineers and suppliers.
• Provide feedback to engineering teams for potential cost reduction initiatives.
