Job Summary

We are seeking a sharp, driven Buyer to lead sourcing and purchasing of aluminium, alloys, and scrap from global manufacturers, ensuring cost-effective procurement and seamless supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate purchases of aluminium and related materials worldwide to secure optimal pricing and supply terms
• Monitor market trends including LME price fluctuations, manufacturer conversion rates, lead times, and freight costs to identify procurement opportunities
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while managing contracts from initiation through completion
• Coordinate cross-functionally with sales, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth trade execution and delivery
• Drive cost savings initiatives while maintaining quality standards and ensuring timely delivery of materials
• Execute purchase orders accurately in Microsoft BC365 and submit them for review and final approval by senior management

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma qualification or relevant certification in a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or contract manufacturing procurement
• Knowledge of procurement and supply chain principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft BC365
• Knowledge of raw materials and OEM processes
