Job Description

Job Title:

Business Manager – Structured Products & Derivatives (Front Office Business Management)

Role Overview

The Solutions business is a rapidly growing structured products and customized derivatives platform operating with a fintech mindset and a strong focus on scalable, cross-asset innovation. The business requires robust operational infrastructure, effective governance, and strong execution to support continued growth and regional expansion, particularly across APAC. This role sits within Front Office Business Management and acts as a business partner to Sales, Trading, and Structuring, working closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Finance.

You will play a central role in scaling the business by delivering new initiatives, improving and automating front-to-back processes, and ensuring the business operates within a controlled and sustainable framework.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong exposure to structured products and derivatives who is interested in business management, strategy execution, and platform development, while remaining close to the Front Office.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Growth

  • Support the leadership team in delivering strategic and tactical initiatives critical to the growth of the business
  • Drive the delivery of new products, business lines, and regional expansion initiatives, with a particular focus on APAC
  • Translate business strategy into executable project plans and ensure successful end-to-end delivery

Front-to-Back Process & Automation

  • Partner with Sales and Trading to support daily business needs and manage ad-hoc requests
  • Review and enhance existing front-to-back processes across the trade lifecycle, onboarding, credit, and governance
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and technology-enabled scalability
  • Promote innovation and continuously improve the operating model

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Own initiatives end-to-end: define scope, establish timelines, manage delivery, and oversee implementation
  • Act as a key liaison between the business and Control & Support functions
  • Confidently engage with senior Front Office and infrastructure stakeholders to drive initiatives forward

Management Information & Performance Monitoring

  • Create, enhance, and maintain Management Information (MI), KPIs, and dashboards
  • Provide analysis to support business performance monitoring and strategic decision-making
  • Prepare MI for technical review and management reporting

Cost Management & Efficiency

  • Support cost management and budgeting for the business
  • Create transparency around costs, revenues, and profitability
  • Proactively identify efficiency opportunities and cost rationalization initiatives

Governance, Risk & Regulatory Support

  • Support regulatory initiatives in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and subject matter experts
  • Ensure Sales activity is conducted in line with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Maintain oversight of Sales conflict management processes and mandatory training
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework, escalating risks and breaches where required
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, control, and SOX requirements

Technology & Platform Strategy

  • Support the assessment of existing platforms and contribute to defining the technology strategy for the business
  • Work closely with Technology teams on system enhancements, automation, and platform development

Skills & Experience

Required

  • 3–8 years’ experience in Structured Products, Structured Notes, or OTC / Exchange-Traded Derivatives
  • Strong front-to-back understanding of derivatives products and the trade lifecycle
  • Experience in business management, front-office change, or operations transformation roles
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Technical & Analytical

  • Very strong Excel skills; VBA and/or Python highly desirable
  • Strong analytical capability with experience producing MI and business insights
  • High attention to detail and a strong control mindset

Core Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercially minded, proactive, and solution-oriented
  • Comfortable taking ownership and accountability
  • Resilient and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Curious, innovative, and continuously seeking improvement

Preferred

  • Investment or finance accreditation (e.g., CFA or equivalent)
  • Experience delivering cross-functional projects
  • Exposure to regulatory or governance initiatives impacting Front Office activities
