Roles & Responsibilities
The Sales-Focused Business Analyst bridges business analysis and sales strategy by analyzing market data, customer needs, and business processes to support revenue growth. This role works closely with sales, marketing, and management teams to translate insights into actionable strategies that improve sales performance and customer satisfaction.
Job Description
- Gather, analyze, and document business and sales requirements from stakeholders.
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, pricing strategies, and customer engagement.
- Translate business and sales requirements into functional specifications for systems, tools, or processes.
- Work closely with sales teams to support pipeline management, forecasting, and territory planning.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and insights to track sales KPIs and business performance.
- Support CRM optimization, sales automation, and reporting enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and IT to implement solutions.
- Assist in developing go-to-market strategies and sales enablement materials.
- Participate in customer meetings to understand needs and support solution design.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) for sales-related systems and tools.
- Monitor post-implementation results and recommend continuous improvements to drive revenue growth.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset.
- Solid understanding of sales processes, pipelines, and revenue models.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate data and analysis into clear sales insights and recommendations.
- Experience with CRM platforms and BI tools is an advantage.
- Data analysis skills using Excel, SQL, or similar tools.
- Ability to work closely with customers and internal sales teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Sales Analyst, or in a sales-related role.
- Experience in B2B, commercial, or customer-facing environments is preferred.
- Business analysis or sales-related certifications are an advantage.
