As part of our strategic growth, we are expanding into the global cement industry supply chain with a focus on the regional market.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Development Director with deep industry expertise to lead our expansion into the cement industry sector. The successful candidate will utilize their extensive network within the market to establish and grow a dedicated business vertical for our payment solutions. The role requires strong strategic leadership, excellent client relationship management, and in-depth knowledge of supply chain financial challenges in the cement sector.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development strategies tailored to the cement and construction materials sector.
- Leverage an existing, well-established network within regional cement industry to build strategic partnerships and client relationships.
- Act as the company’s subject matter expert on cement supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, trade finance, and international sales.
- Present and promote cross-border payment, foreign exchange hedging, and treasury management solutions to senior executives and financial stakeholders.
- Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships with relevant industry bodies and technology providers.
- Monitor and report on market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity.
- Achieve revenue targets by acquiring major clients in the cement vertical.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Engineering, International Trade, or related fields from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 8-10 years of busines development, strategic sales, partnership management experience, commodities sector, trade finance banks, or supply chain/logistics SaaS firms.
- Strong knowledge of global supply chains, including logistics, trade finance, and export/import procedures.
- Experience with B2B payment platforms, trade finance, treasury services, or related SaaS solutions.
- Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and lead initiatives.
