Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and meticulous individual, with strong adaptability, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills, coupled with data governance and/or data protection experience. This role will play a crucial part in implementing and shaping new or refined standards and processes related to data governance, citizen consent and data management, building strong ties with business teams and external partners to align our data strategy and processes with strategic goals.
What you will be working on
- Drive successful delivery of the following key outcomes through comprehensive research and impact analysis, defining and tracking of success metrics, as well as continuously improve on existing solutions.
- Review, interpret and formulate data standards, data access and protection policies, data sharing frameworks, processes and guidelines contextualised to HPB business needs
- Define the required tools and levers and work with relevant stakeholders to implement these in support of effective data governance and compliance within HPB initiatives. This may include, but not limited to, AI Governance, Data Classification, Data Lifecycle Management, Third-Party Management, Privacy and Consent Management, and Data Sharing Governance, etc.
- Lead and provide advice to internal stakeholders on the application of prevailing data protection laws and policies to various programmes and data sharing initiatives
- Develop materials, plan and conduct engagements to drive awareness of HPB staff on the latest data management policies and best practices
- Act as the main liaison for related Data Management and Data Policy queries and submission requests from other Government Agencies
What we are looking for
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Business Management, Law, Information Management or related discipline
- 7 or more years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areasleading and/or delivering data governance/ data protection/ data management related workformulation of data policies, standards, frameworks, processes, and guidelinesinformation/record management including information lifecycle management, data modelling, and master data managementconducting data risk assessments
- Key skills and traits:Analytical, problem solving, critical thinking skills, with the ability to join the dotsMeticulous with keen attention to detail and yet able to see the big pictureStrong communication skills with ability to translate and articulate complex policies and technical governance requirements in layman terms to business stakeholdersStrong collaboration, stakeholder management and negotiation skillsAdaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentProgramme or project management skills
- Professional certifications in data governance, data protection, data privacy, data analytics, business analytics, data science, or related fields will be advantageous
- Experience relevant to developing, implementing, advising on, or complying with Singapore Government IM8 policies would be advantageous
- Experience in AI Governance, Data/ Cybersecurity, or Third Party Management would be advantageous
